Adopted a pet spider

Meet Charlotte.

She's lovely. We've come to an agreement - she stays outside and eats the bugs, and I stay in here and admire her. She's about 2 inches tall and has taken up residence outside my living room window. She's been here since the spring, and appears to have no inclination to leave. 

I do my bit by turning lights on in the evening to draw the neighborhood bugs to her web.

Also, I have discovered my camera's manual focus mode. Mostly thanks to prompting from Leanne to dispense with taking pictures in "Auto" mode. Because I'm cooler than Auto mode.
