Framed my Tingatinga Paintings

I loved the art in Tanzania, particularly the local tingatinga paintings.

They feature really bright colours and flat perspective, and are designed for tourists to be able to take them home in their luggage (they roll up easily and are fairly indestructible).

These are the two that I bought in Dar:

I had them both framed at my favorite framing place in Bury (at a cost of approximately 10 times what I paid for the paintings) and I love how they came out.

While I did see Maasai in Tanzania, they were much more likely to be guarding cars in parking lots (which is apparently what they do in urban areas) than herding cattle!
