Explored Sorrento

Some friends of ours decided to get married in Sorrento, so obviously we took it as an excuse to spend a long weekend in Italy!

The scenery was absolutely gorgeous.

The pizza was outstanding:

Pompeii was eerie and fascinating (despite the fact that the guidebook / app / map / signs were all unrelated to each other or reality).

We had amazing gelato (every day - eep!) at Raki. My favourite combination was one scoop of lemon and one of dark chocolate. SO delicious (and consumed before I had a chance to take a picture)

We spent a day in Capri, and really enjoyed our 'round the island' boat trip, the insane bus drivers, and the chairlift from Anacapri to the top of the island.

We flew in and out of Naples, so decided to spend a day there at the end of the trip. I thought the city itself was uninspiring, but our seafood pasta at Mattozzi was the best meal I've had in months. It was recommended by our airbnb host. I have yet to be sent to a bad meal by an airbnb recommendation!

We gave our feet a break and rode the funicular:

And then walked back down All The Steps.

Ciao, Italia!
