Explored Rhode Island and Boston
We went to New York for my brother's wedding, and spent a few days up in Rhode Island and a day in Boston.
We hiked the Cliff Walk in Newport, much further than I'd ever been (we ALMOST went to the end but realised we were running out of time on the parking meter so turned around!)
We also visited the Constitution museum, but the ship was being renovated so we couldn't go aboard.

The ocean was an absolutely stunning blue - it was really windy but not too cold.
We also rode our bikes up to the Crescent Park Carousel.
And took Harry and his buddy Lulubelle for a very blustery walk on Second Beach.
We got Charlie a CharlieTicket so that he could ride the MTA up to Boston (and we DID return).
We did a bike tour with Urban Adventours and it was an excellent way to get a sense of what is actually quite a small city. I hadn't been to Boston in years, so I really enjoyed it.
We then walked most of the freedom trail (after lunch in the North End, obviously), and climbed the Bunker Hill monument (which was free, oddly!)
