Read The Map Of Time
I have no idea where I picked up the recommendation for Felix J Palma's The Map Of Time, and it took me an embarrassingly long time to read (thank you MBA, new job, possible house move, and general Stuff To Do), but I really loved it.
Clever plot, just enough excitement, not too much blood and guts, and a very neat premise.
Also read and enjoyed lately:
The Tearling books
The Cuckoo's Calling (I truly was the last person on the planet to read this)
Extraordinary Means (for those of you who enjoy a good John-Green-ish YA novel)
The Terrible Thing That Happened To Barnaby Brocket (which I may or may not have read in one Saturday evening sitting)
