Cycled along the Grand Union Canal
On New Year's Day I suggested "a walk, or something" and Charlie said, "how about a bike ride along the Grand Union Canal!" Sounded reasonable to me: canals are relatively flat and have nice wide towpaths.
Apparently not, in this case. Mostly flat (with lots of little bridges and locks), with an extremely muddy towpath that was quite narrow in places. It was really fun, though, and definitely good exercise! We managed a total of about 20K, according to Strava (with a pit-stop for a beer), and just missed the rain. We were stupendously muddy at the by the time we got home.
It felt like a good way to start 2016!
